  1. Spyware Doctor or Spyware Doctor w/Antivirus Conflicts with MANY programs. PCTools has been this way for YEARS.

  2. I don’t like PCTools much. Don’t like their products. It’s not that they aren’t really effectual, its that they cost too much, have conflicts with LOTS of additional programs(security), and are too heavy handed in how they take over the whole PC in their efforts to take out stuff. Still, MSE Missed a “Nasty Rootkit” in Matt’s review of it yet Matt still recommends MSE. Here, SD w/AV missed a Rootkit and he called it a Fail. I’m not sure that’s honest.

  3. HELP!

I downloaded Spyware Doctor from PC tools and I ran a scan and it says that I have 2 high infections: Rootkit.TDSS and Trojan.Pidief.

I haven’t bought Spyware Doctor yet, only have the scan.

I keep getting redirected when I run a google search. I don’t know what to do.

I have Mcfee, Malwarebytes, Spyware Terminator and Super-antispyware free edition installed on my computer but nothing seems to really help.

I don’t want to loose any of my files and I want to get rid of this rootkit.

  4. Try Dr Webs Cure It

  5. o.O you got TDSS.. the worst kind..

  6. windows 7 still PWNS ur vista

  7. really? How.

  8. cuz vista got crappy support, its slower than 7, better compatiblity and could really run on 1Gb ram… and vista is too laggy

  9. windows 7 isnt the best nothing is the best yet windows 7 best vs windos vista best 50%-50%

  10. right when u said spywaredoctor fails they blocked the stie i lmfaoed so hard

  11. get Registry Simple

oh yeah nearly forgot. I reckon it even says on spyware doctor download site to permanently use 2 different spyware/antivirus softwares but not to let them run at the same time. (i have spydoctor, AVG, and spybot search & ruin) The additional two worked pretty excellent, but they couldn’t take out the Antivirus XP 2010 virus that somehow got onto my computer (grrrr) thanks to spydoctor they got rid of it. WOOT!

  14. You need a program called “Hijack this”…google it…run a scan…it shows you the BHO’s and RUN ONCE entries in your regsitry, this is where the malicious malware will infest its redirects and what not…hope that helps

  15. your meant to add the Spyware DR blocked URL to the Global blocked list in settings (Spyware DR Settings) then you should not get redirected to that URL anymore and you should “should” be able to reach the site you typed… (but Im sure you know that allready ?, its more for the additional who watch this) , but Im suprised you didnt demo the action in this vid) still dig your vids though,,

  16. if i buy spyware doctor in store and register. does it give an option to upgrade to with antivirus

Going from XP to 7 was an incredible change, and I don’t miss XP at all. But your right, I personally would not recommend Vista users to upgrade to 7.

  18. @hills505 No, there is an additional fee to upgrade to SD + Antivirus. A further option is to use the free version of Panda Cloud Antivirus along with Spyware Doctor. This is the amalgamation which I use since both programs behave very well collectively.

  19. SD’s File Guard is really slow the initially time an application is launched. This is because File Guard examines every single file associated with launching an app. If you close and then relaunch the same app during the same Windows session, then you will notice that the app launches much quicker since SD’s File Guard already “knows” that the app’s files are safe. More…

  20. Yet File Guard deliberately “forgets” its file scans when you reboot the computer since SD has no thought what happens to a hard drive in between two Windows sessions. For example, a user could shut down the computer, take out the hard drive and attach it to a further supposedly “clean” computer to scan the hard drive, but the additional computer really could be infected and could then infect the hard drive. A further example is simply plugging in an infected USB stick while a computer boots up.

  21. @bvestationfan I have Windows 7 and I’m sorry i bought the PC without down-grading to Windows XP, i despise the system tray design and how they merged the Security options of the PC into this “Action Center” and just really left “Security Center” behind which i don’t fancy at all, I am going to buy a Windows Vista boot disk and fix this horrible OS Microsoft Call “Windows 7″.

  22. @frenchg1330 Really? Thats odd. The system try allows you to door things much quicker, also to get to the security is still honestly simple to get to so youre just being bone idle. Windows Vista runs many un-needed processes which can slow your computer. So have fun :]

Nothing has changed from Windows Vista to 7? Are you fucking honest? I must heard you incorrect. The OS size, the quantity of RAM it hogs, and the new features/quicker internet connectivity channels. There is way more to Windows 7 to Windows VISTA(*pukes*) I reckon you’re still on a hangover.. :P No pun intended. I still like you matt!

  24. Did that scan really take 20 hours 44 minutes and 31 seconds? Problem with scanner probably.

  25. is threatfire only with that package with antivirus???
